Rookie card speculation is the most crowded corner of the hobby. A framework beats a hot take, because the framework still works after the hype cycle rotates.
The five-point checklist
- ★Is it the recognised flagship rookie, or a parallel nobody chases?
- ★What is the print run, and is the parallel numbered?
- ★What does the PSA 10 population look like already?
- ★Is the player's role and team situation stable?
- ★Can you sell it in a week at a fair price? That is liquidity.
Buy the card you would be happy to own for five years if the flip never comes.
