The Best Time to Buy at a Card Show
Early access gets you the grails. The last two hours get you the discounts. Here's how to play both.

Opening Hour vs Closing Hour
Video coming soon — footage from the next show will appear here.
A four-day show has a price curve. The same card can carry two very different numbers depending on when you ask.
The curve
- ★Early VIP hours: best selection, firmest prices, grails leave fast.
- ★Mid-show: steady, best window for negotiating bundles.
- ★Final two hours: dealers do not want to pack it, discounts appear.
- ★Anything heavy or bulky is cheapest at the end for the same reason.
Photograph the cards you want on day one and circle back Sunday. If it's still there, you have leverage.
